Three illustrated hardback books of animals and places - First Series published in 1903; Second and Third Series in 1900 by MacMillan & Co. Third Edition of this book by this publisher (First Edition) and Second Edition by same publisher for Second and Third Series. Previously published several times from 1857.
Condition of books good/fair. Hardcovers are a little dirty with edge, shelf wear and curled corners and chipping/denting to ends of spines and edges. The third series book has a blue line down the centre of front cover. Foxing throughout and at end papers, as well as tanning to end pages. 362 pages (First Series); 360 pages (Second Series); 353 pages (Third Series) plus contents and advertisement pages. Some papers are folder over in Second Series, on in Third Series that also has a small worn area at centre of front end page, and the front hinge is a little cracked along its length, as it the hinge at back cover of Second Series because of their age & storage.
